Differences in price levels for food, beverages and tobacco across Europe

Eurostat published Comparative price levels for food, beverages and tobacco.

Denmark had the highest price level for food in the EU27 in 2012, at 139% of the EU27 average, followed by Sweden (124%). The lowest price levels were observed in Poland (60%) and Romania.

HFCE - total household final consumption expenditure
EA17 - the euro area
EU27 - the European Union
